Summary: The Gwinnett
County School Board used millage calculation processes as taught by the Georgia
School Boards Association to estimate a Maintenance & Operations (M&O) millage
of 19.25. A mathematical calculation of the rate results in a millage of
19.318. The insufficient millage could result in a budget shortfall
of $1.6 million.
